Executive Director. In 2009, when Joanne met a family with children who were living in their snow suits during the winter, Joanne created Fuel for Warmth. Today Joanne manages the operation which includes screening all applications for assistance, maintaining relationships with fuel suppliers, co-ordinating deliveries of fuel and so much more.
Treasurer. Wendy Ogilvie joined FFW in spring of 2020 to replace retiring treasurer L. McNeil. Wendy has ten years experience in this role at another local charitable organization.
Wendy also acts as Treasurer for the annual fundraiser called the Highlands Christmas Shindig.
Kim Russell joined Fuel for Warmth in 2018 and began assisting with the taking of applications for help.
In the past two years Kim's responsibilities have grown and her assistance with the day to day requirements have been an tremendous support to this tight knit group.
COMMUNITY SUPPORTERS: Our advisors bring experienced backgrounds to assist us in communications, fundraising, special event planning and community relations. Our advisors include Mike Jaycock and Barb Murphy. Our wonderful volunteers, Barkley & Sandra Cooney assist us in the very important task of cutting, splitting and loading wood for those clients requiring this service.
