Executive Director. In 2009, when Joanne met a family with children who were living in their snow suits during the winter, Joanne created Fuel for Warmth. Today Joanne manages the operation which includes screening all applications for assistance, maintaining relationships with fuel suppliers, co-ordinating deliveries of fuel and so much more.
Treasurer. Lorne is a retired professional accountant and auditor, with over 30 years of business experience. Lorne handles all accounting and financial duties as well as managing all government reporting and liaison. Lorne also acts as Treasurer for the annual fundraiser called the Highlands Christmas Shindig.
COMMUNITY SUPPORTERS: Our advisors bring experienced backgrounds to assist us in communications, fundraising, special event planning and community relations. Our advisors include Mike Jaycock, Barb Murphy and Sharon Foster. Our wonderful volunteers, Barkley & Sandra Cooney assist us in the very important task of cutting, splitting and loading wood for those clients requiring this service.
