About Fuel for Warmth
Fuel for Warmth isn't just a charity; we're a beacon of hope in Haliburton County. Dedicated to ensuring no one faces the harsh cold without warmth, we provide emergency heating assistance to those in need.
History Of Fuel For Warmth
In 2009 Fuel for Warmth was created after learning that there were families with children living in residences with little or no heat. The children were living in snow suits when they were at home. When the question was asked, why, it was learned that parents had to choose whether to feed the children or keep them warm. Further investigation found that many seniors were using all the bedding they owned on their bed. They were staying in their bed with the dog or cat, trying to stay warm in the residence with no heat. Fuel For Warmth became a Registered Charity in 2014.
