Fuel for Warmth is a Registered Charitable Organization. We are authorized by Canada Revenue to issue official tax receipts. We believe that transparency is important to our donors and their confidence in our management of donated funds. Read more
Volunteer
Our organization is completely volunteer run. We have an Executive Director, Treasurer, Secretary, Advisor, and Wood Co-ordinator. Occasionally we ask for volunteers to cut and stack firewood. We also have a Shindig committee made up of volunteers who organize and put on our annual fundraiser, the Highlands Christmas Shindig.
Fundraiser
The Highlands Christmas Shindig is our annual fundraiser. This year we had an evening at the Haliburton Legion with entertainment by local musical group Jeff Moulton and Friends. We contact individuals and corporate sponsors to ask them to support the Shindig and this year we raised $46,445.
